"The journey is what brings us happiness, not the destination." - Dan Millman.

I chose to share that quote with you because it is one of my favorites. It is something I live by and it is a constant reminder that we must enjoy everything we do at every moment.

This past week was a little crazy. I have been moving, and also trying to find a new job -- not always the easiest thing to do, btw. I usually try to keep my private life, well, private. However, this week I have felt a lot of pressure to do new things. I thought finding a new endeavor would be something easy to do, but it has proven to be a job on its own.

Needless to say, I am enjoying every bit of the @oneroomchallenge, when I get to work on the space. I use this as my escape. My meditation. I love planning out the project and seeing how the room is starting to transform, which in return, allows me to escape the crazy world of the 9 to 5.

For this week, I didn't make much progress. As I mentioned, I am moving to a new place and between packing and trying to find a new job, I felt like I was working three full-time jobs, lol.

I did, however, make progress on the cabinets. I switched the direction in which the doors open, which was an easy and rewarding task. I also received the 126-beverage cooler, which I am looking forward to installing this week.

I cannot tell you how satisfying it felt to switch the direction in which these doors open and have it turned out completely straight. They were a bit heavy, which is why I had to ask my friend to help me hold them, but the feeling of achievement felt spectacular.

I am hoping to make some major progress this week, since I will be done with moving -- thank goodness! lol. For this week, my main focus is the cabinet installation and the fridge. I know my space is going to be tight, which is why I want to make sure I get it done ASAP to overcome any hurdles, if they were to pop up.

As a mentioned at the beginning of the post, I am enjoying the ride I am going through. I know that I will manifest anything I set my mind to just like you can also manifest anything you set your mind to.

It is never too late to make changes and to shake things up a bit, which is something I have learned by participating in the #ORC.

Remember this week is going to be amazing! Don't let anything or anyone bring you down, and be sure to follow me on my Instagram, TikTok and Youtube to see the progress. Also, check out the @OneRoomchallenge blog and @Apartmenttherapy's page to follow the progress of all the other incredible designers. See you in a week! :)

XO, Yaro
