Making Progress One Day at a Time!
Boy, oh boy -- this was a crazy week. Not only I had to pack and move out of my apartment, but I also had to find time to work on this project during "day hours" because I am not allowed to make noise after 7 p.m., which makes it a little harder to do all the wood cutting required for this project.
However, I was able to cut all the pieces to make the platforms where the cabinets will sit. It was a little scary at first because the saw would get stuck when cutting through the particle board, then I realized that I needed to press the power button all the way though!!!
Also this particle board created so much dust, and I thought it would be a cute way to showcase the #ORC by pretending the saw dust was sand. However, I misspelled the initials! -- I told you it has been a long exhausting week, lol.

You wanna know what the sad part about this picture is? -- I sat on this photo for days thinking I had the CUTEST photo for the @OneRoomChallenge until I went to edit it (Insert big face palm, lol).
Now that I have most of the wood cut, I am focusing on anchoring the cabinets to the wall, which has proven a bit difficult because my friend has metal studs and I was not prepared with the correct drill bit -- This is my first time doing this and I am learning as I go.
I am aiming to get these anchored during the next couple of days as I have limited time towards the end of the week. As always be sure to follow the @OneRoomChallenge blog and @Apartmenttherapy to stay up to date with all the designers' progress and follow me on Instagram, TikTok and Youtube.
See you next week! :)
XO, Yaro
